Tom is not a brownie kind of guy. I love brownies though. So we found blondies are a great alternative to brownies! Soft and chewy and oh so delicious! I like to throw in some dark chocolate chips in mine, but you can put in whatever you want!
Blondies
Ingredients
2 ¼ C + 2 TBSP all purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
1 ¾ C light brown sugar, packed
1 ½ sticks unsalted butter, soften
3 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 C water
2 C chocolate chips (I prefer dark chocolate, but you can use what you'd like)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9 x 13 baking dish.
Combined flour baking powder and salt in a small bowl. In a large bowl beat sugar and butter together until creamy. Be in eggs, vanilla extract and water, then gradually and slowly beat in flour mixture.
Stir in chocolate chips, and spread into you're prepared baking dish. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until golden brown. Allow to cool on a wire rack.
