This is a family favorite in my house. Inexpensive and quick, it's perfect for any night of the week. This Korean beef bowl is a little sweet, a little spicy and perfect over rice!
Korean Beef Bowl
Serves 4
Ingredients
¼ C brown sugar, packed
¼ C soy sauce, reduce sodium preferred
2 tsp sesame oil
1/2 tsp crushed red-pepper flakes
1/4 tsp ground ginger
1 TBSP vegetable oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 pound ground beef
2 green onions, thinly sliced
1 TBS sesame seeds, toasted
In a small pan add sesame seeds and heat over medium heat. Stirring constantly, toast sesame seeds until golden. Set aside.
In a small bowl, whisk brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, red pepper flakes and ginger together.
Heat oil in a large pan over medium high heat. Add garlic and cook, until fragrant. Add ground beef and cook until browned; drain fat.
