London Broil with Balsamic Glaze

Ingredients

1 (2 lb) London broil

1 tsp salt

1 tsp black pepper

1 tsp white pepper

2/3 C balsamic vinegar

2 TBSP light brown sugar

3 cloves garlic, smashed

2 bay leaves

london broil

  • Prepare a baking sheet with foil for the oven.

  • Pat your london broil dry and season with salt, black pepper and white pepper on both sides.

  • In a small sauce pan, combine balsamic vinegar, brown sugar, garlic and bay leaves. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer. Simmer until it reduces to half, about 5 minutes.

  • Pour half of the balsamic reduction over the London broil and marinate in the bridge for 1 hour. Set the rest of the reduction aside to drizzle over the london broil when served.

  • After 1 hour, preheat your oven on broil. Make sure baking rack is about 4 inches from the heat.

  • Place the London broil on prepared baking sheet and broil for 5-6 minutes on each side.

  • Once done, remove from oven and allow to rest for 5 minutes.

  • Slice against the grain and drizzle with the rest of the balsamic reduction.

**a tip when using your broiler, crack the oven door a little so your food doesn't burn. And ALWAYS keep an eye on what you're broiling so you don't burn your food.**
